What are metallic foils?
Metallic Foils are made from a thin layer of non-reactive metallic sheets that are fused to a clear cellophane sheet. These beautiful foils can be transferred to the surface of your choice with the help of our foil adhesives, as well using a heat setting with an iron (for fabrics). These foils allow you to control the amount of foil that is transferred, whether you want a full transfer or partial transfer.
Where can I use foils?
On just about anything!! They can be used on projects from terracotta pots, tumblers, furniture, walls, roller skates, and much more! You can even use many of our foils on clothes and fabrics, just make sure you look for the "Textile Friendly" confirmation in the description of each foil. If you have any questions, just ask!
Will the foils transfer 100%?
Unfortunately no, about 90-95% of the foil will transfer. This is why we always recommend painting our base layer a color that will compliment the foil we are using. As this color will peak through. We also highly recommend using our Foil Adhesive, as this adhesive was created for foils.
